Indications
- a time-limited psychotherapeutic approach that aims at clarification & resolution of one or more of the following interpersonal difficulties:
- role disputes
- social isolation
- prolonged grief
- role transition[1]
Contraindications
- cognitive-behavioral therapy, problem-solving therapy & interpersonal psychotherapy require additional training or personnel & may not be feasible in primary care*[1]
* behavioral activation is suitable for primary care[1]
Procedure
- patient & therapist define the nature of the difficulty & work to its resolution
