Pathology

• occurs in pre-existing pulmonary cavities or cysts or in areas of devitalized lung ... (treated cavitary tuberculosis)

Clinical manifestations

• fever, cough, dyspnea, chest pain, hemoptysis, weight loss

Radiology

• chest X-ray

Management

• surgical resection indicated for patients with hemoptysis
• itraconazole, voriconazole, posaconazole
• asymptomatic patients with stable chest X-ray do not need treatment
