Clinical manifestations
- joint pain
- no pain at rest[1]
- little or no joint swelling or joint effusion
Radiology
- X-ray of foot
- non uniform narrowing or 1st metatarsophalangeal joint space
- hypertrophic bone formation
Differential diagnosis
Management
- no or poor response to glucocorticoids
- arthrodesis of the 1st metatarsophalangeal joint (treatment of choice)[1]
