Indications
- treatment resistant hypertension (FDA-approved)[4]
- indicated as add-on to other antihypertensives
Dosage
- 0.5, 1 or 2 mg QD

- drug adverse effects of antihypertensive agents

- drug interaction(s) of calcineurin inhibitors with ACE inhibitors

- drug interaction(s) of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone inhibitors with SGLT-2 inhibitor

Mechanism of action
- selective aldosterone antagonist
- selective aldosterone synthase inhibitor
- reductions in systolic blood pressure of 20 mm Hg with 2 mg dose, 18 mm Hg with 1 mg dose & 12 mm Hg with 0.5 mg dose[1]
